The Art of David Estey: Drawings

 
I approach drawing the way I do painting. I find it more immediate but consider it stand-alone art, not necessarily studies for paintings.  I love drawing the figure. I want to experience and celebrate the body, while discovering new aesthetic forms and relationships that are visually stimulating. My pieces often seem unfinished, so viewers can mentally participate in the creative process - and I can relive it and be freshly invigorated by the work and it's origins.
