I grew up with black and white media – books, magazines, movies and TV, so I love black & white art. Some of my strongest paintings are in black and white, where I can enjoy bold compositions in value, line, tone and texture, without the complications of color. While I now paint mostly in color, I enjoy returning sometimes to studies in black and white
