Selected Drawings

I have always loved the immediacy and the look of drawings and have engaged in figure drawing regularly over the past 40 years. I consider most of my drawings, no matter how sketchy, to be stand-alone pieces of art, not ideas or studies for paintings. They range from realism to whimsical and almost total abstraction. I like them to be bold, expressive statements on the page, above all else.
